Most comfortable pads, please?
Question:
If anyone could please tell me what kind of pads you suggest (for traveling in the car for around 10 hours). Also what are the most comfortable for everyday use (in your oppinion)?
Thanks, I really appriciate it! And also if you have any tips on what or what not to eat or how to react to my period for a first time learner, that'd be great. =)
Thx again!

Congratulations, you're a woman :o)
Okay, I agree with most of the others - Always pads are the most comfortable. I've used other brands but always go back to them. Look for the ones with wings. The wings stop blood going onto your underwear when you are active or are lying on your side. I personally use the ones in the dark blue bag for 3 reasons: *night time, *when my period is heavy (ie the first day or so), *if I know I cannot get to the bathroom for a few hours, and the ones in the dark purple bag the rest of the time. I can't give you advice about tampons as I've never used them. I don't feel the need to try tampons because I am really happy with Always. You may want to carry some wet wipes in your bag to freshen up when you change your pad. You can buy them individually wrapped. One more thing - you should drink more water during your period as you are loosing fluid when you are bleeding and also eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetable.
always with wings
and tampax pearl
or
tampax sport
i find them to be most comfortable
good luckk and were will you be riding for 10 hours to go?
let me know
plz
well congrats on your period [i remember my mother said that to me and i gave her the weirdest look. haha]
most pads are made for comfort, but i'd go by the more commonly heard brands like stayfree or maxi
and i usually just eat whatever my cravings tell me they want on my period. haha =)
use always ultra thin with wings and since its your first time you might want to get longer ones, but dont use a tampon on your first few periods alright, get used to it first, just remember to change your pad every few hours and keep clean underweear near you just in case...and since you just started maybe some pants too...
My favourite ones for everyday and for long hours are "ALWAYS Ultra thin" They're thin, but they work tremendously, they hold so much, and when you're sleeping and you're on your back, the blood doesn't drip all the way to the very back, it actually absorbs!
I love them. They're the most durable ive used yet.
They're in a green package, and they're the pads that have the wings.
And for a first timer, no worries. You might feel bloated a bit, or you might just feel a bit paranoid about your period seeping through your pants or if the pad isn't quite in the right place, don't worry about it. You'll get the feel.
Take care!
xx
without a doubt always pads are the best, they are very thin but yet very absorbant. i have used them for several yearsand have been very pleased.they also have wings and come in several different sizes. i work in a doctors office and sit for eight hours a day and never have any problems. hope they work for you!
Always with wings!
oh & get the one with wipes, they are awesome!
Same here. Always Ultra Thin with Wings (I personally like the yellow package). It was the first pad I ever used and have used them ever since because 1) they are INCREDIBLY thin and 2) dry-weave must be on of the best inventions in the world.
They now have a cotton-like feel on the dry weave so they are even more comfortable than before. Because you just started, I think you should keep going with pads for a bit, then you can start trying tampons once your flows are more even and you can keep track of your body's patterns. I would recommend using a Tampax Slim-fit for your first time wearing one. Tampax pearls are also good, but you may want to get used to wearing one first.
Tips:
1) I get very bad cramps my first day so I use Midol 12 hour to help get through the day. After the first day I'm fine.
2) Start marking on a calendar when you get your period and when it ends. Count the days between the cycles so you can start keeping track (you can just use a highlighter to mark the calendar to keep your info private).
3) Breast tenderness can be a signal that you may get your period soon.
4) Once you start reading your own body's signs and marking a calendar, you may want to wear a pantyliner when you know you are close (just in case you need some protection should you start).
Good luck sweetie!
For everyday use I like carefree Its like body shape and no wings.. and it holds alot of bloody stuff.
Always Ultra thin with wings are great. No advice on tampons, don't use them.
