I have frequent urination all the time. what does this mean?
Question:
Answers:
UTI, pregnant, it could be a lot of things.
You're pregnant.
It could mean alot of things. Talk to your doctor and possibly get a referral to a urologist. I went beyond frequency and now am about to have surgery on my bladder.
If you urinate in short intervals, but only a little at a time comes out, or is painful, then you most likely have a bladder infection. See your doctor for antibiotics.
you drink a lot of water
you can have an infection, or your drinking to much liquids on an empty stomach or it can be diabetes. get yourself checked out though. good luck
No, it doesn't necessarily mean you're pregnant. You might have a urinary tract infection. Drink lots of water and cranberry juice-like gallons! If it doesn't do away in a day, go to the doctor, because it can be easily treated with antibiotics. If your kidneys hurt, that could mean the infection spread to your kidneys- then you really need to hurry to the doctor.
It could also be chlamydia, but a UTI is much more likely. Either way, go to the doc if it doesn't clear up in 24 hrs.
You could be drinking too much liquid or you could have a low sodium. The sodium would make you retain your water. Something like orange juice could make you retain it better but first it will make you flush out some first, until you get a better balance.
You could be edgy, restless or very healthy. If it makes you thirsty to drink more water, there is nothing wrong with that. But drinking too much water can flush out your vitamins and electrolytes. It can make you feel lethargic and terribly hungry. Too much time in the summer swelter can make you sweat it out and this can make you lose a lot too. Or it could just plain be very hot where you are (it's 95 here, with a heat index of l03) and you need more liquids to keep cool.
Does this bother you? It shouldn't. If you still have the energy to get done what you need to do, maybe it's all for the best.
Frequent urination is one of the symptoms of diabetes... do you also constantly feel thirsty? Definitely get yourself checked out by your doctor for an infection or internal problem first, but if that isn't what's causing the problem, you may want to see an endocrinologist and have a glucose test done. A lot of people are in the early stages of diabetes (prediabetes) and don't even know it. Try not to get too stressed, though- most of the time these body fluctuations are caused by something simple and will either get back to normal on their own, or they can be remedied with some treatment or medication.
it could mean the beginning signs of diabetes.
