12 does seem pretty young but if your guna do it not sure of the brand but go for a slimmer one and probably a plastic applicator, they seem smoother. might want to try some lube also!
There is no "best" brand in particularly. As your mom or just use lite or junior sized ones to start off with.
o.b probabaly because they are small.
Tampons that are best for beginners in my opinion are the "slim" or "junior" size tampons with a plastic applicator, as these will slide in easier for your first few tries. Playtex sells "Slimfits" which are exactly what I just described, or also you could try Tampax Pearl "Lites". I used those kinds to start and they were great, so I hope if you take my advice they help you too!
