Do you still....?

Question:
ovulate when you're on the pill? like if you purposely skip the inactive pills and go straight onto the next months active ones, will you still get dull pains etc from the tilting/movement of the ovaries?
also, if you miss a pill, and then you skip the inactive tablets thus making your cycle longer will this protect you against pregnancy?

Answers:
no, the pill keeps you from ovulating. if you miss a pill, you are supposed to take it and the next days dose on the next day. you should only skip the inactive pills under a doctors supervision. some people shouldn't be taking them like that and only getting their period every three months for health reasons.
Usually no. Some people do though.

If you miss a pill you should follow the directions for your particular pill, some pills have a little more leeway than others. Some formulas require you to double up on the next days pills to prevent pregnancy, but a backup method of protection might not be a bad idea.

If you skip the inactive tablets and continue taking the next pack of active pills your cycle will just be longer.
