Girls only! Tampon help!?

I've tried like 5 times...but, I can't make myself push it all the way in there...
I think I am also scared that It will hurt really bad...

The most important thing you need to do is relax. If you are tense, the vaginal muscles contract and make it much more difficult to insert correctly.
Other things to consider, not all tampons are created equal. You may have to do a little brand shopping. Tampons with cardboard inserters are a little trickery than the smooth plastic ones (or the kind that don't have inserters at all, which are very easy to insert, but a little messier). If you are using cardboard, try switching to plastic. Tampax Pearl is a good one, I've found.
Next, use the smallest tampon available, even if it is not absorbant enough for your flow (just use it with a thin panty liner). When you get the hang of inserting it properly, move up to the absorbency you need.
Also, and I know it sounds dumb, but read the directions with the package and make absolutely sure you are trying to insert it correctly. It shouldn't hurt, if you are doing it correctly, even if you are a virgin.
Get the smallest type of tampons available, push it VERY gently, if you feel too much pressure or pain stop, just make sure your vaginal muscles aren't tense because then you won't be able to put it in!
It is tricky since all of our bodies are NOT the same. I still could not get one to work even when i was like 18! If it hurts too much, dont do it. Some people are just tighter than others and sometimes cant use tampons until after intercourse (hymen being intact and all). Everyone is different. You are not weird :)
I as scared to I wanted to use them also but my ob told me that they are bad for you they can get stuck in their that happened to my friend and the emergency had to take it out not to scare you or nothing but relax you have to be relaxed

You have to relax or it's going to be harder to get it in. If it hurts then stop. It just feels like a little bit of pressure if it's in right
