Does birth control effect bodies reaction to alcohol?

Question:

I started taking the pill the end of January (orthotricyclen lo) and ever since February, if I drink the smallest amount of alcohol, 2 hours later I'm nauseous and my stomach is a mess. I never ever used to throw up from drinking. I would be able to drink as much as I wanted without getting sick. Then I switched to Yaz and the same thing happens, so I don't know if it's the pill or something else is going on inside me but I don't know what!! I dont even get drunk, last weekend I didn't even finish a sparx and a few hours later I felt like I was going to throw up, I lay down and close my eyes and feel worse. I am HATING this because I can't drink ...I just get sick everytime. I feel like my stomach is going to blow up everytime. I used to think it was just beer but it's mixed drinks, and wine too! Anyone have any clue?? I never had a problem before I started taking my pill in the end of Jan. but I dont know if it's just a coincidence. :(

As far as I know..no.
But you could get so drunk that you forget to take the little life saver and then you could definitely have a reaction....a baby..:)

maybe those are the wrong type of birth control pills for you, there are so many on the market for all dif people,and you normlay do get side affects fro the first month i.e nuasia and bowl condistions at times

The pill makes your body feels like it's in simulations of pregnancy, and we all know that nausea and vomiting can be caused by pregnancy hormones. The pill formulations consists of hormones that might cause these side effects you are feeling, especially when you drink. You must try and avoid alcohol for a while and see if the nausea and stomach problems continue. There is a small percentage of women who cannot take birth control pills at all, no matter what kind. Any side effect should be reported to your Doctor immediately. Do not ignore this.
