When do you generally stop growing?

Question:
I'm 14 years old, female, and somewhere around 5'6"-5'7". I've heard so many different things- you stop growing once you get your period, two years after you get it, you still grow until you're in your twenties. What's true? I know that you still have the potential to grow until your growth plates close. Generally when and what age is that? Thanks!♥

Answers:
normally women stop growing at the age of 21 and some at 25 so it depends on your body type
A woman stops growing in height at age 17 or 18.
I stopped at 17.
A woman stops growing at the age of 17-18 which is why we're always taller than boys during most school years because men continue to grow into their early twenties.
Whatever you think, love. Personally honey, I never plan to stop growing. When you do, that's when you know you're old.
From what I understand, girls generally stop growing within a year of getting their first period; thing is, the age at which girls get their periods also varies between the ages of 10 and 16. In my case, I reached my final height of 5 feet 4.75 inches at around 10 or 11, because that's when I got my first period. Suffice it to say that's pretty early. My father was 6 feet and my mother is 5'5", so I probably would have at least been slightly taller than my mother if I had begun going through puberty at the average age of 13.
