Don't feel guilty I doubt it was your fault. Was it your first pregnancy? It's common for a first pregnancy to end in miscarriage and a lot of times it happens before the women even knows she's pregnant.
Bacterial Vaginosis is the most common vaginal infection. Sometimes there are no symptoms, 50% of women will have no symptoms, and it can be awhile before it's diagnosed. Even with a yearly pap test it can sometimes be missed. The cause of BV isn't really known. In the vagina there are lots of good bacteria and a little bad bacteria. Sometimes the balance goes out of whack and there ends up being more of the bad bacteria. Intercourse can be a cause but so can not wiping from back to front, douching, perfumes etc.
Make sure you take your antibiotics with food and drink a glass of milk as well. If you are still finding them really bad call your doctor and ask for a prescription of antibiotics to be taken vaginally instead.

You're probably on metronodizanole..or something like that, but it's really strong, you have to EAT! Don't take it before or after you eat, take in the middle of eating your meal. You will be fine.
I don't know about the pregnancy part but BV is transmitted through sex, you usually get the pills or this stuff called metrogel. You can usually smell BV though and most of the time you kind of think it's a yeast infection, but it has a little more of an odor than a yeast infection and doesn't really itch as much. Our girls down there are super sensitive (more than we think) at the first sign of something that's not normal or healthy discharge you gotta go see the gyno! Even if you think its not, GO! The website up there will give more info on BV.Hope that helps!
I had BV and yes those antibiotics make you feel sick - don't be surprised if you also get a a rash on your face and chest. You might be feeling slightly nauseous too and have a metallic taste in your mouth. it's temporary. Sounds like you're taking Flagyl or Flagntyl. No it's not your fault you miscarried because of BV. Some women have it and don't know it because they don't manifest symptoms. I had a white milky watery discharge that's how I realized something was not right and this after a scraping. BV can be caused by intrusive surgery. Again don't feel guilty because sometimes there's no reason why you get something. The delicate balance that keeps a vagina healthy can easily be upset even by the smallest of things.
I've had that too. He gave me clindomycin 150 mg..it cleared up in no time. I also was too scarred to go to the doctor. I went almost a year with this until I couldn't take it anymore. You get it from bacteria. You can get it from not wiping properly or from having sex. Somehow bacteria got inside of you. The medication I took didn't make me sick at all. I was just so happy that this horrible smell and discharge was going away! So you may want to ask him about that medication. I did my research before I went to the doctor...So I knew what it was and what medication I needed before I went. It helps a lot to do that before every doctors visit so that he will go over all possiblitites!
Try eating pro-biotic yoghurt - 2 little pots a day or more. And only take them after you eat. Stick to to dry food like pasta and crackers.
Pepto-Bismol help nausea alot, available from chemists.
Don't whatever you do feel guilty. Miscarriages are more common than you think and can be caused by all kinds of stuff, I think it's pretty irresponsible of your doc to let you think that it's your fault.
Took me ages to go to docs too, thats just normal human being behaviour!
