Girls can you help me?...?

Question:
I have been having quite regular periods for the last three cycles (every 24 days) up until now. I was due on the 10th Aug and yesterday I noticed some blood but hardly any it was more of a tint. Usually when I start it is heavy and then lessens over five days. On the day I was due I had bad lower back pain and headache, so I thought that I would soon start normally. The reason I am worried is because a little while ago I had bad itching and soreness, with different discharge to usual but I left it alone and it got better. Then it started stingin when I peed and that went away (maybe it was cystitis?). Now the soreness is back again. Anyone know whats going on? I'm 14 and started last Oct, no chance of pregnancy, so could this just be because I only started recently? :S

Goin on holiday Saturday so I don't think I'll have time to make a docs appt...do u think I even need one?

Answers:
I would not worry sounds as if you may of had a touch of cystitis or even thrush this would not usually effect your cycle but cycles can change from month to month and you stressing over it is probably why your period hasn't arrived! i would try not to think about it enjoy your holiday and if your period has not arrived then then see you doctor!
Have fun!
Could be an UTI (urinary tract infection- like cystitis), you can get an AZO test strip at the pharmacy. But if it's positive you will have to get antibiotics from the doc. In the meantime you can take AZO pills to relieve the pain.

Good luck!
it could just be a urine infection, in which case drink plenty of water, if you cant get to the doctors, but it might also be an idea to go a sexual health clinic, depending on where you are most will have walk-in times...get it checked out if you can tho...let your mum know too...its often to good to tell someone else if you are worried about what it could be.have a nice hol
its ok. your body is just adapting to the changes :)
I would make an appointment anyways because obviously theres somethin not right. U could have cystitus but u will need to antibiotics to cure that normally. Make the appointment just to be safe. x
you should drop into a clinic just to be on the safe side but periods do have the downside that they can be very unpredictable i have missed mine for 4 months before and then they came back again. you shoud go to a clinic because the problem with most infections is they have little symptons which can dissapear and you dont even know youve got anything. best to be safe. enjoy your holiday!
sounds quite normal.. you've only had your period for a little while.. i've had mine since i was 12 and i'm 29 now.. it could be a yeast infection or a urniary tract infection. you can go to the chemist and speak w/ the pharmacist and tell them what's going on and they can give you something for it if you do have either a yeast infection for uti. hope this helps!
Itching and soreness a while ago with a different discharge sounds like thrush. This is a very common vaginal infection and needs to be treated. Stinging when you are peeing is a sign of a urinary infection, possibly cystitis. Both of these can be treated by over the counter medicines, and very easily, so don't worry. However, i think you should see your doctor as you appear to have had both. As you are off on holiday it's best to get it treated sooner rather than later. The doctor will recommend the best treatment and may give you a course of antibiotics. So make your appointment NOW.
Have a lovely holiday.
Well, I think you should go see a doc... But if you don't have the time... Maybe just leave it alone first. Wait 'til your period ends...
You probably have an urinary infection. Or a cold of the ovaries. You dont have to have sex to get these two. Yes, you need a doctor appointment. Mayne a famly doctor could also help by precribing you a general antibiotic (that you are not allergic to!) and some ani inflamatory pills, without having to go to a gynecologist.
it sounds like u have cystitus hon try to get an emergency doctors appointment before u go on holiday and drink plenty of water and pure fruit juice especially cranberry juice coz this helps to clear it up too, good luck and have fun on ur holiday xx
Perfectly normal. I was like that when I first started. You will become regular again soon.
