What happens to stretch marks when they're like 30 40 yrs old?

do they just become more white and wrinkled?

Answers:
im 51, have had 4 kids and never had stretch marks, so i dont know about the huge ones,,,but i DO have very tiny ones on my thighs, from losing weight,,,keep your body toned and they will stay small,,,you'll hardly notice them.
unfortunatley, they stay there forever.
Oh my gosh...I don't know if I want to know the answer to this...YIKES!
yeah, they fade kind of.
They become road maps with hills and terrains.
