When I had the sex education class at school he asked if I was satisfied with the answers and if I had any more questions I could call grandma. I said, "no I was fine"
He heaved a sigh of relief and said, "ok than that's done your cool with it and that's over?"
How did they ever get to be our parents when they are so clueless? One day I should explain the birds and bees to him but I am afraid he would faint on me.

Averages change overtime. It used to be 13 was the average age, but more and more you are seeing younger girls getting their period at the age of 10, 11, and 12. There is always an exception to the rule and girls starting later.

Well i got mine when I was 11 and my mom got hers when she was 10, so i think it's usaully within a year of when your mom got hers.
11-14. I got mine at 11 almost 12 though. She will probably get it around the same time as you.
I was 12. I got mine before my older sister. She was 18 months older than I was. So she was pretty pissed to see me get mine before her. My mom go hers when she was 13. My sis didn't get hers till at least a year after I did.

It all varies with the maturity.my older sister started when she was nine. You see my sister is a serious, no goof-up person and I'm 11 and I'm free spirited and I like to stay young while I can.And I'm not worried or scared.I'm starting to get signs of periods like cramping and all.When I first heard about them when I was nine I was scared to death about it.I can't wait till ''it'' starts because it is a sign that I'm maturing.

It really just depends, there is no way to predict it! I got mine the exact age/day my mum did. My friend got hers at 14 and another friend at 11 so it really just depends.
