Period question, girls only or mature answers from guys?

Question:
Alright, this is going to sound strange. I'm almost 15 years old, ive had my period since I was 12. I went to go change my pad and there was a lot of tissue there? Usually a little bit of tissue comes out, and it is the middle of my period. But it was like...a huge glob of bloody tissue. It looked almost like muscle you see in diagrams. I'm kind of scared because it doesn't sound normal. I have never had sex so it could not have been a miscarrige. Should I see a doctor?

Answers:
The lining of your uterus could be the tissue you see. The lining tears away during menstruation and becomes a part of your cycle, this is normal. The really bothersome thing is the clots and they are scarier than the tissue. Your concerns should be alleviated with a visit to your doctor.
You should be ok, it's just shedding the tissue of the lining of the uterus.
yes, but I think the amount of tissue does change over time. When I was younger I lost a lot more blood than nowadays.
dunno, ye, no up to you what do you think you should do i 'personal'y think you should cos i aint sounding normal to me good luck ...?
yea...id see a doctor asap...ive never heard of that to happen
I would just to make sure you don't have an infection for anything. It's not abnormal to have changes, but it never hurts to bring it to a Doc's attention. If you used tampons that could be a reason also
ive had that before, its like a clot..it shouldnt be anything to worry about, unless there really is a whole bunch, then you may want to see a doctor, but i dont think that you have anythign to worry about unless you keep getting alot of it or you bleed too long.
Sounds like the blood has bloated the pad up to look like it does. The pad tries to absorb all it can and as it does it causes it to go globby as blood congeals also the uterus lining is coming out.
it sounds normal to me chick, i wouldnt worry.
Sometimes you have larger clots than normal. I get them all the time. Just relax, your fine. If you have bad cramping with these, them I would probably pay a visit to the doctor. He may do an ultrasound to look for fibroids (these are not cancerous) to see if these are maybe causing your large clots. Your mom and/or close female relative may be a good source of info too, since they have already been through this.
No hun, that is incredibly normal. During the menstrual cycle, the uterus sheds its internal lining which passes through the vagina. You may even get large blood clots.

However, if you feel severe menstrual cramping or become lightheaded while on your period and feel generally weak and tired, I'd go see a gynecologist just to be safe. Otherwise, what you are experiencing is very normal.
blood clots are normal grose but normal lol dnt worry i get them all the time too
It's almost certainly just a large bit of tissue. But I would see your GP or gynecologist just to be on the safe side. Hope this helps xo
It sounds like it was a blood clot which happens when the bood pools or collects in one spot in your uterus. If you have a heavy flow sometime the blood sits in one spot inside (like when you were asleep) and then when you get up it comes out like a glob of pudding. Talk to your mom and /or your doctor to make sure and take some iron vitamins too.
ask your mom or other female relative. those are the people you can really trust.
yea go see a doc..
Its normal dont worry.
no you are fine
