Question:

i was just curious, but how do you actaually know if your hymen is broken as it can happen through other physical activities such as horse riding etc?

Answers:
if you have used a tampon or had sex then it is broken if not then you cant really tell till you have done one of these things.it dosnt really matter.unless you are worrying about something like weather it will hurt when you have sex first time.in which case dont worry about it,people have been doing these things since the begining of time,it might seem like the most important and stressfull thing ever but shortly after your first time you will have forgotten all about it.start worrying about whats going on down there when you go into labour with your first child!!all the best!x

You don't necessarily actually know. I didn't bleed when I lost my virginity, so I assume it was probably broken at some prior time, but I sure couldn't tell you when or how...

you just don't know, unless one of your parents told you that you had a really bad fall and started bleeding as a child. otherwise, there's no real way to tell.
