Is it safe to use a bit of baby talc in your crotch in hot weather? Has anyone had trouble from this?
Question:
Answers:
i think u shouldn't use talc...coz in some people it causes irritation and rashes in the skin and it also increases the chances of having ovarian cancer or a skin cancer etc..
its better if u use a cornstarch.
gud luck...
Yes, and yes its ok to use just don't get it on the inside.
powder away sister! Nothing is goning to happen.
I'm not wanting to frighten you, but use of talcum powder in the genital area is associated with a slightly increased risk of ovarian cancer in women. Instead of talc, go for a cornstarch-based powder; that is something your body handles much better.
This will safely absorb any moisture. That's why parents use it on baby bottoms/groin areas.
I do it all the time.just make sure it's on the outside
yes it is fine. i use the cornstarch one for babies. be sure to not get it IN there, but on and around is ok. helps absorb moisture. there is even a "feminine" powder you can find in the feminine hygiene section of your local store
talc is toxic I think
use cornstarch
I read that it has been linked to ovarian cancer and even lung cancer. They say that Talc is chemically identical to asbestos. The ovarian is a risk because regardless of where you put it in your genital area, it can move towards the inside... in fact, they have removed tumors from there that have contained talc. The lung cancer is from inhaling it. But, vagisil makes a talc-free feminine powder. That would be much better for you. And if you'd rather use baby powder, there are talc-free versions... check for Burts Bee's 'Burts Baby' talc free powder.
If you must, use a talc free powder. Talc is just plain no good for you.
I use baby powder every single day after I get out of the shower, even in the winter. I put it on the front and in my butt crack, you can never be too fresh.
I've been doing this for several years and have never had a problem. I PROMISE.
But some people are sensitive to everything, try it. If you get irritated don't do it anymore.
To respond to some peoples comments on it leading to cancers and such, that's just talk. If it were that bad for you, they would not be selling it for BABIES. Thus "baby talc", "baby powder"
When the proof of that comes, Baby Powder and Talc will be recalled faster that you can even say Talc.
Okay so you have had a lot of different answers to this question I see. Anyway, you should not use Talc and you shouldn't put it on a baby either. If you are bothered by moisture in the heat make sure you use cotton panties so that air can get there and dry the area. Thongs, silk and rayon fabrics are not breathable fabrics. You want to wear loose fitting clothing and then you won't need powder. Talc is linked to ovarian cancer and babies exposed to talc have a higher incidence of SIDS
yep say no to talc and use cornstarch
they wouldn't give it to babies if it wasn't safe.
You can use it yes. But you can also cause other problems. If you are sensitive in that area you could get a bladder infection or yeast infection. Actually the doc. said to use light day pantyliners. Change often throughout the day. They are made for absorbing moisture.
think so yes
Why do you need it down there? Good hygiene an cotton underwear is the best...yes the dangers of cancer and frequent talc use is real.
Some issues have been linked to Talc and Ovarian Cancer, nothing conclusive. Don't use Plaster of Paris, you'll make some unusual statutes!!!
Hi, No .never use talc on your "Open bits", tests prove it can cause cancer- also thrush. Its recomended now -Not to use on a babies bottom too. love Jo x x- you could always- make sure you wear cotton undies-, and wear a liner pad-xx
