Answers:
That is extremely normal for a great number of people. I've had it off and on all my life. If you are worried about it, Pepto might help. Also, I find that Prilosec settles my stomach quite nicely. Both of those are temporary fixes. Stress is the most common ailment ever. I suggest realizing that you are under stress and learning to deal with it. I think this usually affects skinny people versus fatter ones. We don't constantly fill up our stomachs with food. Food is like a drug that helps people to deal with their stress.
My mom has a really sensitive stomach - and i think she passed it on to me... yay. Anyway, I know exactly how you feel. This might sound simple and stupid, but talking about it usually helps. Just getting whatever makes you nervous out in the open can make you less nervous. I'm going to be a freshman too - and completely freaked - don't worry. There are tons of us, and we're all just as anxious as you are. (Wish I had a better solution...sorry)
This happens to a lot of people! The best way to calm yourself is by being as prepared as you can possibly be. Eating fatty, really salty, or spicy foods around the time of the stressing event can make things worse. So eat foods that will calm your stomach instead (no fast food! pack a sandwich instead). As was already said, pepto bismol can help a lot. Also, you could talk to your doctor about this, and they may have some ideas for medications you could take that would help.
Good luck with school and moving in! Plan ahead for everything and you'll be relieved that you did.
I was excited and cried the same time. Going off to college is a big experience for a girl. After a while I'm guessing you'll love it. Don't let it bother. Try to think of the future and all the fun you'll be having, but you may get an upset stomach anyways...its normal and every girl there is going thru there own fears.
