Can you wear a pad to go swimming?
Question:
Answers:
you can, but you have to remember it will absorb all of the water, and you will feel like you are wearing a diaper. I would recommend wearing a tampon. If you have never used a tampon. I would recommend going to the store and buying the smallest ones your can find and try them. O.B. also makes some without an applicator that are super small for small vagina's.
Hope this helps!!
NO!. i suggest u avoid it for other's benifit
No.....
no
no but you can use tampons
No, I don't even know how that would work...
No you cannot, tampon please
no. they pad will soak up all the water instead of the blood
use a tampon
no know one likes swimming in other peoples blood and you would be embarrassed when you are surrounded by red water.
Well, you COULD, but it wouldn't do much good, would it?
Besides, that's nasty.
No. That raises some serious sanitary issues!
no/because/ it will come apart /in the water/and /out /of your suit/wear tampons
NO gross! wear a tampon!
if you did, it would be an unpleasant expieriance in shark infested waters..
dont you think it would just fill up with water and not do any good for the blood? another thing is the water would relese the blood into the water your swimming in. GROSS. refrain from swimming or use a tampon.
No, it will fill up with water and be very uncomfortable, not to mention could cause infection.
If you are swimming in a pool, then take the pad off right before you go in the water. Your flow will stop while you're in the water. Just put one back on when you get out.
If you are going to the beach, you might want to use tampons. Scary, I know. But not that bad. Tampons can be worn in the water.
i wouldn't. it will just absorb water, so it wont help you out very much. your period will stop once you get into the water, so you don't have to use a tampon. however, it will start again shortly after you get out, so if you plan on just laying around, then i would suggest some extra protection.
Your period does not stop in the water! A pad will only soak up the pool water. Nobody wants to swim in your blood. Use a tampon if you want to swim.
no...it will swell up and fall off and it would be very embarrassing
No, your best bet is to wear a tampon. Pads are going to absorb all the water in the lake, pond, ocean, pool whatever you are swimming in. Try tampax pearls, if this is your first time using a tampon. They are very easy to use! Good luck!
I'd say no, definitely not. You will leak and the blood wil be seen, also the pad will unstick and ditach from your swimsuit.
Either wear a tampon or wait a few days, I know it's annoying, I love swimming x
Ps how old are you?
No. Pads are meant to hold liquid, so if they are immersed, they will expand to hold as much water as possible. If you have a spare pad, try putting it in a sink full of water to see how large it will get. I imagine that some cheaply made pads would also start to disintegrate and bits and pieces may eventually fall off.
If your period is light enough to get you from the changing room to the pool (or lake, etc) without mess, you can go without a pad. Once you are in the water, you won't bleed, because the water pressure outside your body will keep the blood from coming out.

No, it will most likely slip out and not do any good, anyway. Use a tampon instead.
not a great idea, they are designed to absorb moisture, Try OB's
Yes, theoreticaly you can, but I definatly wouldn't! The pad can get soaked up with the water you are in and become very large and uncomfortable. If it is full of the water, it cannot absorb the flow.
Also, the stickyness on the bottom of it becomes unsticky very quickly when wet.
There is a very high chance leaking if wearing a bathing suit.
These things could become uncomfortable or embarresing; its best to wear a tampon! If you can't wear a tampon then just don't go swimming!
Come ON really think about that for a minute!
REALLY!
A PAD, that SOAKS UP fluid, in the WATER!
NO, you can't wear a pad in the water! It'll be like a diaper and soak up the water before it'll even get to soaking up any menstrual flow!
Its either tampons, or moon/diva cup, or NO swimming.
You period DOES NOT STOP or slow down in water, either! It only gets dispersed into the water, and that is just really nasty.
be wise and accept elders advice to bear all this, I mean pads at your soft place.
well u can but it doesnt help at all!
no
No..the pad will soak up the water and become a hudge sponge!
The bleeding will stop when ur in the water!
Dont put tampons !
