How long does it take to get your period after having a baby?

Question:
I had my baby 2 months ago and I still have not gotten a period. I am started to get paranoid that I am pregnant again! I do breastfeed but only about 2-3 times a day.

Answers:
Just relax. Your hormone levels may not be completely balanced out yet. It takes some women longer than others. Stressing out about it doesn't help either. If you're really worried call your ob/gyn. They'll be able to tell you if there really is anything to worry about.

And congrats on the baby!
You won't have a period if you are breastfeeding. Ohh and congrats on the baby and the decision to breastfeed!
I had my period the very next month, and I breastfed twins. i would go and get a preg test. although having a baby does throw your body off, you may not be ovulating yet.
not sure, i am man. sorry. i will ask my girlfriend and see if she know. will get to you later. with best regard.
Took a month for me but you may want to call your clinic & ask a nurse or your doctor about this.
I would think you would have gotten it by now but you don't always. My mother did not breast feed at all and she didn't get hers for almost nine months after she had my brother. Same thing happened to a sister-in-law. It's not entirely impossible.

I breast fed both my girls (almost exclusively) and didn't get mine for 10 months each time. It was great.

Take a pregnancy test if you think your pregnant. Walmart has tests for three bucks. They work just like anyother test.

If not, then contact your doctor.
I breastfed and did not get my period until my son was 10 months old, just enjoy it while you can!
