Why did i loose my period?

Question:

i haven't had my period for around 5 months. I am a virgin. i didn't do anything sexual. I just had french kiss and hugs. my period is irregular, usually i get it after every 2 months. once i got my period after 4 months. I am 18 and my period started at 11 and half. I masterbate sumtimes, is masterbating causing my period to stop? i was gaining weight and to loose weight i have been doing yoga for some weeks. i also had a condition of constipation, now i think constipation has lessened. shud i see a doctor? what do u think is the reason for me to miss the period?

sounds like a possibility that you have PCOS
(poly cystic ovarian syndrome) you'll have to go to your dr. to get tested for sure... but from what you have said, it sounds similar to my situation. either that or you have a thyroid condition. i would definitly go see my OB/GYN. PCOS is a hard thing to live with and it's easier to know that you have it, rather then go w/o being diagnosed.
like i said, i have it, and have been living w/ it for 10 yrs. now.

You're not missing your period because of masterbation. You're irregularity needs to be addressed by a gynecologist. Make an appt. right away.

im not so sure y u would just lose ur period but the only thing that i kno of that would make ur period stop is pregnancy but u said ur a virgin so thats deffinitly not it. but ya u sould see a doctor just in case there is something really wrong u kno? well i hope everything works out for u.
