I have been having dull aching pains in my left lower abdomen for some time now. Sometimes the pain radiates through to my back. A couple of weeks ago I had an ultrasound and the nurse that gave the ultrasound said there was some free fluid, so she thought I might have a ruptured cyst...but the radiologist said there wasn't anything abnormal. Yesterday the pain became sharp, and it comes and goes. It feels like what I think a ruptured cyst would feel like, but apparently I don't have any cysts. Any ideas about what it could be?

It sounds like a cyst...and just because they didnt see anythng.all that could mean is that it ruptured and is gone..I would have another opinion...
Just to be safe to rule things out like a ruptured appy.or gallbladder attacks.

could be irritable bowel or colitis.
You may have gastritis, constipation, or something else. See a Specialist!!
Check for appendix. Although they are actually on your right. I had mine removed when I was 7 so I can't really remember what the symtoms were...check it out though. Hope you feel better.
Well acctually it could be an atopic pregnancy. And thats where the baby is stuck in the falopian tube. Thats what it kinda sounds like to me. But you should definantly get a second opinion, these people sound like they don't know what their doing.
