Please Help! Laser hair removal. My 10th session. Middle Eastern?
Question:
I'm middle eastern and have very thick dark hair on my face. After all these sessions, it is thinner but it grows back within two weeks. It has now spread to different parts of my face. Before I use to get sideburns, but now it has spread to my cheeks. I feel like I am wasting money. I pay hundred dollars for my entire face. Are my hormones out of whack or what? Should I wax?
I don't have any money anymore. Taking medication for my hormones will cause me to lose ALL of my hair.
Answers:
Did you research your doctor before having the procedure done? It may simply be that you don't have the best doctor doing this or something.
Also there is no guarantee that laser will give you permanent hair removal -- it can always come back within a few years. It sounds like you've had more than the normal number of sessions though. If it's very dark and coarse like a man's hair, and especially if you have a history of menstrual problems, I would get your hormones checked. that could be a sign of hirsutism (I'm confused about the difference between that and normal hairiness - just posted a question about it myself).
