Changing birth control pill brand?

Question:
I want to change birth control pill but I'd have to wait 3 months before another appointment with my family doctor. Could the pharmasist give me another brand or maybe a clinic doctor or do I have to wait 3 months before being safe sexually??

Answers:
Your pharmacist should be able to call your doctor to confirm you have an appointment and give you a three month supply.
I suggest continue the pill you are on (unless you are having very bad side effects), until you can see your doctor. Your phamacist will not just change your perscribtion.
call your doctor and ask for an earlier appointment, just because you have a certain amount subscribed it doesnt mean you cant change before that time..i still had 5 months left of my pill and i went to the doctor and changed to a different one.
You can talk to your pharmacist and have them call your physician and ask them if you can change your prescription.
