What were your main symptoms with polycystic ovarian syndrome?

Question:

Answers:
PCOS or polycystic ovarian syndrome is a condition affecting women, and it just means their ovaries have a tendancy to produce cysts, for some in conjuction with the menstrual cycle (irregular or regular does not matter). Some common symptoms for it (most of which i have now) are the following. Have ur doctor refer u to an endocrinologist if u are unsure. My dr did that just to get a second opinion because of my thyroid probs.. and he noted that l likely have PCOS as well.
...

abnormal hair growth (usually for us, in places MEN normally grow hair, like the face, chest, etc)

fatigue, irregular periods even when on birth control pills, mood swings, thyroid dysfunction (I am hypothyroid)

depression, changes in appetite, or no appetite at all,

either u have or possibly have an ovarian cyst. I have one currently. And to whoever remarked that ovarian cysts hurt, they can YES... but only the malignant ones. My cyst is benign and I have no pain at all. But if I do ever, my dr said to see her immediately because that could be malignancy or cancerous.
women can have irregular periods, possibly problems with infertility/decreased fertility, increased hair growth (facial)... those are some of the main ones, aside from possible pain from cysts or their rupture.
ovarian cysts are terribly painful. You will also have weight gain around the mid section of your body, and there could be fertility problems.
My periods still hadn't become regular after four years, plus they could feel cysts on my ovaries when doing their regular external check at the pediatrician. I would also have horrible, horrible cramps that would cause me to miss a lot of school.

I had a lot of weight gain around my midsection, but not much of anywhere else, and I had really bad acne.
After puberty I gained like fifty pounds right away, I didn't know why and try as I might I couldn't lose the weight. Then the hair grew in weird places my happy trail as I like to called thank god for laser hair removal. Then at 18 I was tired all the time, I miscarried that year and the next learned I would never be able to have kids. I didn't have bad acne, but I have to fight to keep the weight off it took finding a great doctor to help. Alot of people will think you are a hypochondriac with all the symptoms you have. I have also had to have 2 dermoid cyst removed. And my doctor didn't feel the cyst on my ovaries I had to have an ultrasound to be diagnosed.
