Question about the pill?

Question:
I take ortho tricyclin and when i miss one, my doctor says to just take two the next day and it will be fine. It seems to work (never gotten preggers) but i get a really upset stomach and sometimes throw up. Does this happen to anyone else?

Answers:
It happens due to the fact of more hormones enter your body than you need. It is not harmful, just upsetting to your system for that day! Try to stay on schedule to avoid this. Good luck!
It's happened to me before. I haven't thrown up afterward, but it has made my stomach slightly upset. Eat some crackers and it should pass quickly.

Hope this helps. :-)
I get really bad cramps when I don't take it and when I do, I feel fine. I take Ortho tri-cyclen lo.
It's a common side effect if you double up on your pills. When I was on orthotricyclen I had similar problems.
yes when i took the pill it happened to me to i just let it go then iwill stop shortly after it starts..
I take ortho tricyclen too and I've never really had that problem when I've missed a pill. I just try to take it as soon as I remember. I have never taken two at the same time. I take mine at night so I normally realize that I forgot to take it sometime the next day. So I'll take it as soon as I remember (like in the morning or afternoon) and then take the next one at the normal time that night so that I'm not taking two together. I don't know if maybe that will help you or not. Good luck.
Taking two really doesn't do much except cause side effects like nausea. If you ever have to take the morning after pill, you will have even worse side effects.

The easiest things is to take the missed one as soon as you remember if it is within 12 hours of your usual time - if you are within 12 hours you don't have to do anything special, you are still protected.

If you are more than 12 hours late, just ignore the missed one, take the next one at the usual time and use condoms for the next seven days.

The most risky time to miss a pill is in the weeks before and after the pill-free week. Missing a pill in the middle week isn't really cause for concern,
