Tampon Help - Girls Only Please?

Question:
Ok. This is kind of a weird question, so don't read on if you don't want to.

I swim a lot and need to be able to use a tampon. The problem is everytime I get one in, i get it as far up as possible but when i walk or sit, i feel it and it pulls, painfully. I know for a fact Im inserting it right, and that its probablly not far enough in. How can i possibly get it in further? any tips? ppl with the same problem?

I want to swim and wear them comfortablly where i can't feel them. Please help

thanks

Use the active kind they work wonders. I do water aerobics and use ob cant feel um at all. Get the small ones though for a lite cycle, don't force it in though u will hurt urself.

I put a link below for the ob ones. They should work for u.
Get the smallest size you can find and you could also try using a different brand.hope this helps
uh puch it up further once u get it in ;] lol not kidding♥♥
i would use a smaller one, such as the teens kind. they are shorter and so it may help you. you might also be using too big of an absorbency, so go down one, such as going from super to regular. i dont know how you put them in, but try putting one leg on the toilet.
Use sport tampons and put Vaseline on the cotton it helps it slide in easier
Well when you're putting it in, you are making sure to take off the two plastic bits right? When you insert it into your opening, you put it in as far as you can, then you push the two plastci bits together like an injection, so you're only left with the cotton in your vagina and the string hanging out.

If you've got that down, then try putting vaseline a bit in your vaginal opening and then inserting the tampon, it should help it slide right in.

Good luck!

* Try a smaller size
* Try a different brand
* Try a different position when inserting.
* Make sure your muscles are relaxed enough to get it in all the way.

If nothing helps, go see a gyn for more advice/help. There correctable medical reasons that do prevent people from being able to use tampons.
I have this problem at times too. When you stick your tampon in, don't go straight up. Your vagina opening is at an angle, so when you insert it, face it slightly towards the back. Use your other hand to open your vagina by spreading your lips. When you have your tampon at the perfect angle, it'll slide in VERY easily!

P.S. Don't forget to wash your hands! :)
You might be wearing a higher absorbancy than you need.
maybe your not putting it in far enough, and get a smaller size
I agree with most of the tips that people have offered you. However, I just wanted to let you know that you should NOT use vaseline as a lubricant as some people have advised you to do. Vaseline is an oil based lubricant. You should only use water-based lubricants in your vagina, never oil-based as they can cause an infection. An example of one that is good to use us KY brand. Just wanted to let you know.
You should try different brands, they all have slightly different shapes. It isn't necessarily the size (absorbancy) Tampax are long and thin, playtex are shaped kind of like parachutes., OB tampons are shorter then the others, but also are available in all absorbencies. I found the OB's were the most comfortable, and they are also recommended by ob/gyn's (I used to work in an ob/gyn office and they recommend them over the other brands. Also, because they don't have applicators you can position it better and by doing it yourself you learn where it should go and how high up is comfortable for you.
Lay on your back and open your legs with knees bend and insert the tampon . In this position it will be straight, just make sure you insert it deep enough.
You can try inserting it in a seating like position too. Which is the same position if can't lay down.
