Birthcontrol?

Question:
hey how do those "sponge" things work?

Answers:
They cover your cervix, and contain a spermicide, I believe. Years ago, I used the first ones to come out on the market in the U.S. Didn't care for them. You insert them yourself prior to sex, then remove afterward. Removal was difficult for me.
personally i prefer the pill. When you are in the mood and then you have to get up and put that thing in its going to knock the mood a bit dont you think? the pill is easy small and 99% effective it also controls your periods to.
The first poster was correct, they cover the cervix, acting as a barrier method, it absorbs the semen, and it is soaked in a spermicide to kill the sperm. If you want to ready more about it, click on the link in my sources box.
