Don't forget you also got half your genes from your dad. My mom was 14 when she started, and my aunt was 13, but my dad's side of the family, the girls started later, around 15 and 16.
I started at 15. The girls on my husband's side of the family started really early - like 10 and 11.
My girls were 13 and 13 1/2.
Genetics aren't everything, though. Your environment will also influence how fast your body matures. If you are very athletic and have a low percentage of body fat, you are more likely to start later and have lighter periods. If you are more sedentary, you are more likely to start earlier and have heavier periods. But even so, every girl is unique.
No, every girl is different. Jennifer
quite possibly. i got my period late like my mother also
well it depends on ur body
Most likely.
You *could* get it at the same age as your mother did, but you might not either. It just all depends on when YOUR body is ready to menstruate, which could depend on a few factors other than age.
No you may start sooner then her or later is up to what your body is going to do.
No, I got mine when I was 11 and my daughter got her's at 16 (Lucky)!!
No. I started when I was 11 and my daughter was only 8 when she started. It has more to do with body type and genetics than anything, but it isn't always exactly the same. Heavier girls start earlier.
no
Not every woman is the same as the next and THANK GOD there are some women out there that there shouldnt be a duplicate of. No it doesnt mean youll get your period at the same age.
you could get it the same time as your mom or you couldnt. It depends. If you have the same body type as your mom then most likely. Normally you'll get it within a year of when your mom first got. My mom got it when she was 14 and my little sister is 11 and she already got it! So if you have the same body type as her, then you will most likely get it. IF your showing signs of getting it, then start carrying around a small pad with you in your purse just incase and also dont listen to "if your fat you'll get it sooner" because my cousin got it when she was 9 and shes not fat at all so it all depends on when your body is ready and able to produce a baby.
