Does drinking a lot of water help slow down a heavy period?

Question:
Cause right now it's kinda heavy and miserable, and I have beach plans tonight and I really don't want to have to leave to go change my pad (im only wearing one because it's so heavy and i don't feel like changing a tampon every hour)...otherwise I wouldn't wear one..I can only use a super tampon at the highest and that only lasts about an hour as well. The first day I got my period it was wonderful...a regular tampon every couple of hours...now it's the 3rd day and getting heavy...

So yeah does drinking water help slow it down fast?

And do you know anything that could slow it down by tonight? :P

Answers:
I don't know about water, but I talked to my doctor about this because I was hating the heavy periods...She recommended taking Advil..so I did...It really helps...(I am 34 and normally have very heavy periods...)
Sorry but no. The only way would be to get onto the pill.
no water doesn't slow it down but keep drinking it since ure loosing lots of fluid and your gonna go to the beach. i cant think of anything that will slow it down, i guess u just have to wait it out
I am afraid tha simple answer is No it doesnt slow down your period. I am afraid some bodies are just built that way. Thwe only thing to really slow down a period is a hysterectomy lol and that simply does not apply here.

The pill also temporarily stops peiods but again that deos not apply here as you wouldnt get it to work intime.
Why ask me. Ask an expert
The only thing that would help would be the pill, which usually makes your periods less heavy. You could also try larger, heaqvy-duty tampons or special cups, but some people don't like wearing them.
