I've had PID (Pelvic Inflammatory disease) twice. And it keeps flaring up...?

Question:
They keep giving me antibiotics to get rid of it when the pain flairs up. Its normally flairs up by sex though. After ive had the antibiotics im fine and my man can be as rough as he likes. But then suddenly the pain will flair up one time we have sex then from then on i'll have to take the pills again to get rid of it.

I had a laparoscopy in april this year. It showed i have scar tissue up to my liver if that means anything and no dye went into either of my tubes. One is blocked and the others has adhesions whatever than means.

What is the chance of future fertility?
Why do i keep getting the pain still?
Also, ive just had a smear come back as an adnormal result (i dont know if thats completly unrelated)?

Answers:
i know how you feel ive got PID too, i was treated with antibiotics in september after having it untreated for years, but it hasnt done much as it keeps coming back and getting worse. the only thing i can think of you doing is going back to the hospital, which ive been meaning to do myself, and get them to give you something stronger. i was told if it gets worse and keeps returning it requires hospitalization to have antibiotics injected etc. if one is blocked i think it can be unblocked but needs surgery, adhesions are where its stuck in places ive got that in one of mine i think. no one knows the chances of fertility but im not feeling very hopeful for myself right now, but i hope you manage to get yours sorted soon. abnormal results would be due to the pid.
PID is such a painful condition. I'm sorry you're dealing with it.

Take a look at the information at the link below. It's excellent and easy to understand and I think it will answer some of your questions!

PID is an infection so the antibitotics clear it up however, PID is most commonly caused by serious complications from STD's and can damage fallopian tubes, uterus and other organs.

The pap coming back abnormal is probably related since it's testing cells in the cervix but you need to have a talk with your doctor about all of this and get some serious answers.
