Will this work?

Question:
I am getting married August 18th and last month my cycle arrived around the 18th of July. I would like to avoid this at all costs. If I start taking birth control tomorrow, what are the chances it will move my cycle away from the 18th of August and towards the end of the month?

Answers:
You have a pretty good chance, since tomorrow is the 7th and you usually take pills for 21 days, so your period shouldn't start until after Aug. 28th.

Have you not taken any b/c since July 18th? You should really take it regularly, and only stop for the one week to let your period break through.
It's best to start birth control the Sunday after your period. It can cause problems to start it in the middle of ovulating. You should go and talk to your ob-gyn about this and see what he/she has to say about it.

Good luck and Congrats!!
