Does anybody have a huge cysts on their ovary and take vicodin for it? this makes me nervous?

Question:

I was disgnosed with a 6 or 7 cm cyst on my left ovary- I laso have an IUD, and recently had an appendectomy. I am hopeful that this cysts is the only reason for the pain, but I asked my doc for a vicodin refil, and am nervous. I sprained my back not long ago and he 9dif. doc) gave me lortab for that. I ope that the docs don't think I am just drun seeking. Any experience, words of wisdom? thanks-

I have had a cyst on my ovary previously and never took any pain medication for it, even though it hurt so bad. If the cyst does not go away, you will have to have surgery to remove it.

Don't take Vicodin too long...it can be very addictive.

no but my mom has had them and the doctors removed the cysts. u should have talk with your doctor about what would be best for u as far as meds. vicodin can be addictive so keep that in mind. best of luck to u.

I just had a cyst removed from my back and was prescribed vicodin or generic for it and I take my naproxen at night because it tends to make me drowsy. Did the doctor suggest that your cyst might be removed eventually. Sorry I have know wise answer. Just curious also. I had my appendectomy when I was 4 and I am 42 now. I'll be praying for you. If you go to the same pharmacy for all perscriptions they would be able to tell you more about the possible affects of the medicines you are taking.
