Period question...girls only please!?

Question:
so im 14, i have had pubic & armpit hair for like a year and i already wear a bra and stuff but i haven't gotten my period yet...im not like anxious for it or anything actually i don't want it but my mom got hers when she was 14 and i dont know if i should be concerned about it or if its okay. about a year ago i thought i got it because i had like the worst lower cramps of my life and when i went pee there was blood but that hasnt happened since then so should i be concerned??

Answers:
Since your mom started when she was 14, you should start between the ages of 12 and 16. If you haven't got your period then, I would go and make an appointment with your doctor. You said there was a little bit of blood about a year ago but none since then. You don't say how long the bleeding went on for, that could have been your first period, then you have just missed out some months. When I first started I missed out a month, and it's perfectly normal. But I don't know whether that was just your body's way of kinda warming up for your periods, or whether it may be something more serious. Maybe mention it when you go to your next doctors appointment. Hope this helps xo
no, and will come when it's ready, ur just a slow bloomer, hey ur lucky i got it at 12
no, the unhealthy age to not have ur period is 16 years old. If you're 16 and still dont have ur period, consult a doctor.
Awww No Babe Its Ok!Be Thankful Actually i Got Mines When i was 12 Youve Still Got About 2Years Its Just Youll Be Going Through Puberty Stages At The Moment,Dont Worry About It Yet If You Dont Have Them By The Age Of 16 Consult a Doctor But Until Then Count Yourself Lucky!
Take Care xx
beacuse you beld about a year ago this means that you have started your period, but you have just not had one for a year.

COMPLETELY NORMAL btw

i started when i was 13 i think and it was normal for a couple of months, then i was off for over half a year, then i got it again then another gap of 6 months, then another of about 5 months. I was worried so i asked a teacher about it and they told me it was a completely normal thing to happen it just takes a while for them to become regular.

Thats if they even do become regular. she aslo said that she had a friend who had an 8 month cycle.

Dont worry about it and just be grateful that you dont have to worry about it yet, everyone starts at diffrent times, it mau go against what i said earlier but there is no NORMAL, you are you.
Don't worry it's normal for this to happen.
Girls start at different times, but I'm sure you'll start soon.
Count yourself lucky!
xD
Your probably just a late bloomer.

Your actually supposed to have armpit & pubic hair and start wearing a bra for 1 or 2 years before you start your perioid. That's totally normal, so just wait it out, it sounds like your right on track.

If your ever worried about it, though, ask your mom to take you to the doctor. He or she will tell you everything you need to know.

And if you don't have your period by the time your 17, you should definitley consult a doctor.
I was a late bloomer as well. I didn't get mine till I was15 and then it stopped for about 8 or 9 months, then was a little sporadic at times until I developed a regular cycle. Everyone's body is different. Like everyone else said enjoy it while you don't have it!
