The average age girls start their period is twelve years old. But since it takes time for bodies to adjust to the changes, on average, girls are not actually fertile until 14-15.
As teen girls go through puberty, the pelvic bones gradually widen to prepare for possible future childbirth. If a girl bears a child before the opening is wide enough, the results can be dreadful. And even then, many girls bodies are not able to actually ABLE to hold a child until late teens. If a girl gives birth to a child before the bones have widened enough, fistula often occurs. In countries without proper medical care, this is stunningly common. Usually the bones set in the right spot around the age of twenty.
So even though I do not know the exact AGE where this fertile process starts slowing down, I know the peak is somewhere between 20 and 35.
And a girl is most 'ripe' around six days before her period, then within a couple of days after. The couple of days after is the main peak though.
