Will it be okay for me to switch to my friends birth control?
Question:
But im leaving the country on Monday, and i definantly dont want to be on my period the whole three weeks i am gone, so my friends offered me her birth control pills that she does not use. Will this be dangerous to my health? or should i be okay to switch since it will be a new cycle??
Answers:
What reason were you given for them not being able to give you the refill?
You should not be using your friend's birth control pills. Your best bet is to call your gyn and request a few sample packs of your own bcp, I'm sure that they will accommodate you.
i would not try hers. it could be dangerous, people are put on certain birth control for reasons. i would highly suggest going into a planned parenthood, where you can receive birth control as soon as that day! they can give you one that will work for you, and it is almost always free of charge!
dont cause then it will mess up your whole emuen system it cause a alot of harm to u i recumed u just get another case insted of a refill.
You should not switch. You still might have alot of break through bleeding if her pills are not exactly what you are already taking. Call the Office back and tell them you will be out of the country for 3 weeks, and can they give you a sample or prescription if you make an appointment. Good luck !!
WTF is up with your pharmacy?!? You need to get them and your doctor on the same page.
Of course it's not recomended, but would probably be ok to take your friends.
Give your doctor the name of your friends pills, and ask if they would be harmful.
The worst that can happen is heart failure or pregnancy, the later being the worst.
