First time gynecologist visit/Birth Control Questions?

I'm 20 years old and I'm planning on going to the gynecologist for the first time.. I enjoy irregular periods and I want to possibly get on birth control to acquire regular? Does anyone have any recomendations on which kindly to get? How long do I hold to be on bc to have a regular interval when I get stale? I've been reading other question people own asked to get info on first time gynecologist visit and there be a link to a website: http://www.youngwomenshealth.org/pelvici...
I found it adjectives but there be something that worried me... the part where on earth it says a rectal exam may be done! It's doomed to failure enough they are going to be playing within one hole I don't want them in two! haha. How adjectives is this? This is the first time I've heard that that be done on your first visit. Any information on this gynecologist subject would be great : ) Thanks surrounded by advance

Answers:    Sometimes they do a tremendously quick rectal exam, once the pelvic exam is done, the doctor inserts a lubricated, gloved finger into the rectum, not outstandingly far, and it's just for a time uncomfortable, not really bumpy, and it's over in a second or two.

I believe they do this to find out whether you've been have anal intercourse, so they can tell you some safety/sanitary guidelines you'd necessitate to know if you were. Also, they are checking adjectives of those body parts to see if they're normal, you might be glad to know if in that was something that needed attention that be discovered during that rectal exam.

Try to find the lowest dosage pill available to start with, no want to have glorious doses of hormones if you don't require them. "Ultra low dose" birth control pills on the market include:
Alesse (contains 20 mcg ethinyl estradiol and 0.1 mg levonorgestrel; manufactured by Wyeth)
Mircette (contains 20 mcg ethinyl estradiol and 0.15 mg desogestrel; manufactured by Organon)

Some culture do gain weight on birth control pills, I lost consignment because of them. Either reaction is usual. You may not do either.

There are unqualified concerns for birth control pill users, like smoking, how well you are, your diet, etc., but your doctor should explain these concerns and warn you of what to look for to inform if something is wrong because of the pills. Read all the info sheets you find, and continue to look up info on the internet, and you should do fine. Good luck!
I have regular periods while I be on birth control but when I got rotten the were irregular and own been ever since?? But I took the pill type don't remember the christen been to long ago as far as a rectal exam I've never get one out of the three years I went and I'm sure if you describe them you do not want one then they won't so don't not step because of that
