Is my IUD still preventing pregnancy after 12 years in the womb?

Question:
Cannot afford to have it taken out and want to know if it can expel itself? Is it still effective?

Answers:
You NEED to have it taken out and replaced if you still want to have effective birth control. Just WHY can you not afford to go to the doctor and pay an $85.00 office visit to have it removed? You can go to a walk-in clinic (reduced pricing) and have it removed. You can obviously afford internet. I tell you what you CAN'T afford. A life threatening infection or worse. Priorities!!
you need to get it taken out and a new one put in if you cant pay for it then go to a low cost doc that goes by how much you make or try caring pregnancy they deal with that stuff too. at caring pregnancy if you cant pay then you get put on a program where you dont have to pay at all. at that place they do all forms of birth control.
u need to take it out as soon as possible otherwise it'll cause bad infection tht may b life threatning...at least u hav to c a doc once to chk the position of ur IUD...be wise enough nd go to the doc...
You seriously NEED to have the IUD removed. It is no longer effective and it could cause serious problems with your reprodutive organs by keeping it in. Your body WILL NOT expel its self because your body is used to it being in there now.
