I have no idea what is wrong with these stomach problems... someone PLEASE help!!?

Question:
My mom has these horrible pains, like cramps but 2x worse along with a burning sensation. its not where cramps usually occur, its in between her ribs (below bust). Its really worrying me and I'd like to get some ideas on what it could be. I'm worried it is early stages of colon cancer, but i'm not sure. Someone PLEASE tell me what i can do, or what she can do. Thank you SO much!

Answers:
it could be a number of things, like acid reflux, gallbladder attacks etc.

check her symptoms with a symptom checker like the one on webmd.com

she should also go and see a doctor.
she needs alot of water. stay away from acid and spicy foods, even fruit juices. just for a while. she how she feels in couple of weeks. she might need something like prilosec.
Could be a heart attack, could be gastric reflux, could be a stomach ulcer, could be pancreatitis, could be cholecystitis, could be colitis, could be diverticulitis... one thing it isn't is colon cancer. That doesn't come with pain as a symptom. She needs to be seen by a doctor ASAP just in case it's something serious.
it could be acid reflux, gastritis, intestinal obstruction, ulcers...

her best bet would be to go to the doctor asap
It sounds like heart burn (acid reflux). It more than likely has nothing to do with colon cancer. The colon is quite a bit farther down from where your mom's pain is. Tell her to take Prilosec OTC for 2 to 3 weeks. If it gets worse or doesn't improve at all, she needs to see a doctor for a stronger medication and possibly some testing.
