no definitely do NOT shave up! ouch! haha i don't even want to think about it.
make sure you have a lot of soap or shaving lotion and the razor is very wet. a dry razor will leave bumps on sensitive areas of skin down there. also you might want to put on fragrance free lotion (just something really soothing and simple) after. :)
it's most likely razor burn, always use new clean razor and lather with shaving cream, jell, or mild soap to reduce friction on skin!
You're doing it all right, and the bumps are normal. You cut a tiny bit of skin off when you shave, and your hair follicles can get inflamed. The bumps should go away by the next day.
You can use a shaving cream or just some shower gel all lathered up to make it easier to shave, and make the razor glide more smoothly.
its quite common to get goose bumps.yes definitely it hurts,so you should be extracarefull.the other option is go for waxing,it takes longer time for hair to grow, and you do not get goose bumps.initially its a little painful, but you will get used to it.
umm your skin is probably gettin really irritated, beacuse when you shave the hair grows back more quickly which means you have to shave very frequently... I personally use veet (sensitive skin formula) it works very well and it lasts a long time ... Just follow the instructions correctly or else u might burn ur self down there lol...and trust me u dont want that to happen
Razor burn is extremely common in that very sensitive area. Hurts like crazy and looks like a disease. We women go through such torture sometimes and what do the guys do? Anyway, enough with the rant.
First thing is that you want to get the hairs soft and your pores open. A hot shower is good, and a super hot washcloth is better. I've used conditioner, but I don't know if it really helped. If you use shaving cream, get the kind with no flowery dyes. Try the men's for sensitive skin. I leave it on for a while, but then wash it off so I can see what I'm doing.
Second thing, make sure your razor is really sharp. That way you don't have to go over the same place again and again.
Third, shave with the grain of the hair. I know it feels prickly to you, but a little prickle is much better than a big rash.
Third, wait a few days to shave again. Do the same things, and you'lll get the pieces you missed, and you'l have less irritation than if you shave every day. In between days I use a really heavy moisturizer, like a Vaseline heavy. I like Eucerin's Aquaphor. It keeps the bumps to a minimum and makes my skin soft so it less irritated before and after.
But really, you can avoid all this by getting a wax. It seems expensive, but depending on your grow speed, it can last 3-4 weeks.
Good luck with grooming your kitty. I hope some of this helps.
