I need help urgently! (Strictly GIRLS Only, Please)?

Question:
I think I might have yeast infection, and I've gotten Miconazole Nitrate Cream (2%) that only RELIVES itching and irritation, but does not cure it. However, today, I went to the pharmacy again and bought a Tioconazole Ointment (6.5%) which does cure vaginal yeast infections. But I do not know if I should begin to use the ointment because I've been using the Miconazole for the last couple of days. Would it be harmful if I just stopped using Miconazole and start using the Tioconazole Ointment right now? Would it have side effects? What should I do?

(Last time I used the miconazole cream was 1 and a half hours ago.)

PLEASE MATURE ANSWERS ONLY! I am asking an honest question and I want serious and helpful answers, thank you!

Answers:
Your best bet is to buy something like Monistat. Monistat has a vaginal suppository that cures the yeast infection and a cream to use on the out side to get rid of itching.
no it won't hurt you. but you should go to the doctors office and get a rx so it goes away efficently! Hope that helps
hey sorry i don't know the answer but maybe you could ring your doctor? they should be able to tell you the answer strait away..or maybe a womens health clinic or health line?
how long have you been taking the first medication? i dont see why youd have any side effects switching...and id stick to whatever works best. i HATE yeast infections, nothing ever seemed to work for me, the amount of monistat i used was disgusting. good luck!

at the same time...if you only think you might have a yeast infection, you might want to be 100% sure before you start using strong meds
Best bet call an all night pharmacy and ask the pharmasist.
Plus are you sure you have a Y.I? Have you had one before. Could it be an STD? Have you had unprotected sex?
I'd call your gyno and make an appointment and try an overnight thing like Monostat! It works better than ointments b/c it treats the infection from the inside!
I really don't think it would hurt, but I'd wait til tomorrow.
Also make appointment to see your doctor. Not all infections can be cured with OTC (non-prescription) medicines.
OK, this sounds gross, but my friend swears by it: get new oral medication syringe from drug store pharmacist. Fill it with PLAIN yogurt and put it into the vag. Remove the syringe and throw it away.

The action of the lactic acidophilis in the yogurt will put your PH back to where it should and the yeasts should be fewer (which is where they should be).

Good luck!
If there is any chance that you could have something other than a yeast infection (as in have you had unprotected sex in the past 2-3 months) you should see your doctor or a clinic very soon for an appointment. STD's are not something that women's bodies handle well and can cause infertility.

If you are sure it is just a yeast infection, using the Tioconazole now should not cause any reactions, unless you have an allergy to it.
it will not hurt to stop one and start the other but are you sure you are using the right cream.these sound like creams for fungus not yeast but it will still work well.call your doctor and get diflucan.1 pill much better than creams.
I don't think that it would hurt to go ahead and use it tonight. I would contact my doctor in the morning, though. You could have a bacterial infection that people often confuse with a yeast infection and a different type of medication is prescribed for those infections. In the future, I would buy the Monistat brand--there are combination packs that have suppositories for night use and cream for the itching.
