Have you been running alot? or any type of exercise for that matter? Or are you wearing a new top could be the material.
Do you drink a lot of caffiene? or your period.
I was going through the same thing some say its premenopause but I just started working out my upper chest so right now it can be one or the other they say pre menopause make your breast hurt for about 3-4 wks a month mine hurt a wk b4 my cycle.
This happens during various times in our menstrual cycle. Track when this happens during your cycle and see if their is a theme. i also recommend doing a breast exam to ensure there are no cysts or lumps.
It could be anything to do with hormonal changes, if you know for a fact that you are not pregnant then look at what other hormonal changes could be taking place.

Are you at the stage of menopause?

I would say go and see a doctor, explain how you feel and look to natural remedies too, a visit to a health practice near you and talk with someone knowledgeable in this field could help allot.

Good Luck.
You go thru a pseudo pregnancy when you are on birth control so that contributes to the sore breasts.
It is a side affect of the pill.
