Got off birth control and haven't had my period.?

Question:
I'm a teenager and the first time I took the birth control pills (Desogen) was my last period on June 29th.
I took it for only 2-3 weeks, due to my mother not approving of it.
I use a condom each time I have sex.
It's been now exactly 5 weeks since I first started my last period..
I'm starting to get kind-of worried, because I usually have my period after about 3 and a half weeks on average.
I also took a pregnancy test about 3-4 days ago and it was negative.
A bunch of people have told me that it's just the birth control delaying my period and I shouldn't worried, but I just want to be sure.

Answers:
i would wait a while, BC messes up my period allt he time, when you stop or start a new pill, it takes time to get your cycle. you will get it eventually, enjot the break from it! :)
Your friends are right. And it's probably even more likely since you didn't take a complete cycle of the pills. Your body is just a little confused right now. Keep using the condoms and you should be fine.
Yes the pill can do that but usually after months of use. Just wait for it to come.if it doesn't come in the next 2 weeks then take a pregnancy test again. Worry sometimes sends your period away too.
Most likely it is the birth control wreaking havoc with your cycle, but take another pregnancy test in a week or so just to be on the safe side (even if you do get your period). Good luck, hun, and good for you for using condoms!
