Answers:
For those who suffer from chronic, painful yeast infections, someone has decided that diet has a lot to do with it. After carefully checking out a ton of different diets, there seems to be a bit of everything that you can and cannot eat. Many of the foods that have been removed from the average diet, tend to be foods that can fuel yeast, such as sugars and more yeast consumption, as well as many foods that can keep yeast from flushing from flushing itself out of your body.
So, once I give you the NO foods, I will also add the foods that CAN be consumed. First, NO fruit or fruit juices, since they contain sugars. Fresh vegetables, fresh vegetable juice, and lemonade or limeade can be consumed. NO breads or breaded meat – all other meats are okay. NO egg substitutes – just organic eggs, since substitutes can hold sugar (for frothiness). NO margarine or butter substitutes – for the same reason as egg substitutes. Fresh butter, yogurt, cream cheese, and unsweetened whipping creams are okay. NO potatoes, legumes, or grains – since they all contain high natural sugars as well as natural yeasts.
NO coffee, tea, diet or regular sodas. Coffee beans and tea leaves both have natural yeast enhancers, whereas diet and regular sodas have sugar or sugar substitute. Organic tea is okay to drink. NO partially hydrogenated oils, since they can grasp the yeast – holding it hostage in the body. Cold=pressed oils such as olive, coconut, and flax seed can be consumed, since they do not do that.
NO peanuts, peanut butter, or pistachios – they contain natural sugars and are yeast enhancers. Raw nuts, such as raw almonds, pecans, and walnuts do not, and can be consumed. NO vinegars except for apple cider vinegar – which contains malic acid, a known yeast fighter. This is a HUGE category of NO’s, which include ketchup, mustard, soy sauce, worchestshire sauce, barbeque sauce, hot sauce, pickles, mayonnaise, salad dressings, dips, etcetera. Last, avoid high mercury fish such as salmon, tuna, and some shellfish.
This may seem like a ton of NO items, but there are still plenty of foods to try. The entire basis of this is to try to get rid of unnatural foods, and keep the body’s natural pH levels balanced through a truly balanced diet. Fresh vegetables are always a good thing – and many vegetables, such as carrots and beets, can make some wonderful juices. There are still a ton of meats available for consumption as well.
If your yeast infection wasn't triggered by your diet then you can eat anything you want.
Most yeast infections aren't diet related, unless you have certain medical conditions.
anything i have it too but its alll good just eat what ever it dosent reflect on what you eat. ...

First of all, it depends on how long you have had the yeast infection. And do you have a yeast infection, or do you have Candida? Candida is the more serious kind of yeast infection that is much harder to get rid of. Anyway, for foods, I believe low sugar apples are okay. Blueberries are probably the best fruit you could have. Banana's are a no no!!! Absolutely NO starch at all. Nothing at all from the potato family. That means no yams. Millet and Quinoa grains are very good for you. No sugars OR sweeteners at all. The only sweetener yoiu can have is Stevia. You should buy the liquid form that is sold in health food stores. All low carb vegetables are good to have. No margarine. No citrus becuase it unbalances your ph levels in your blood stream. You should be taking some probiotics. Take the maximum dose of probiotics. You cannot overdose on that stuff. It's very safe for your body. What else... I usually eat Millet or Quinoa grain with veggies, like as a stirfry. You can't have any sauces. But you can have Bragg sauce. It's similar to soy sauce. Tofu is very good because it has high iron levels. If you are experiencing pain with your yeast infection, then you may want to take some Ascorbate vitamin C. It's the salt side of vitamin C. I know this seems like a lot, but when you really want the thing to go away, the cleanse really isn't all that bad. I have Candida now for over 10 years. I have only been doing the cleanse for the last year or so. The trick is to stay on the cleanse and not cheat into eating something that you're not supposed to. The eating cleanse should be done in between 3 to 9 months. Possibly sooner. Like I said before...it depends on how long you have had the infection for. If you have anymore questions about it, and would like some honest answers that doctors are not likely to give you, then feel free to email me at my personal email address: kpsinvestor@yahoo.com. I would be more than happy to help out. Otherwise, you may one of the lucky ones that is able to cure it with over the counter drugs.
Good luck to you!
You can also check out www.Candida.com. There's tons of info on this stuff.
Stay away from foods with sugar and/or yeast in them, those are the worst. How long it takes to resolve is going to depend on what prescription you got, how bad the infection already is, and of course your own immune system and habits. Also, if you are on antibiotics it makes it more difficult to get rid of yeast. I know with the OTC remedies I usually start seeing a difference right away because I get the ones with the topical cream that relieves the itch!
What I found out to do more recently is a dilute douche with hydrogen peroxide - 1 teaspoon of 3% peroxide in a cup of water - I did it once a day for two days at the very start of a yeast infection and it knocked it right out. I've also heard of making dilute vinegar-water ice cubes and inserting them in the vagina while you are taking a bath (crush into smaller pieces, first), it will help lower the pH which the yeast do not like, and maybe reduce some of the inflammation. You didn't say if your prescription was a vaginal treatment or not, but if it is you should ask your doctor or pharmacist before doing any douching, etc.!
