i had unprotected sex a week before my period starts what are the possiblities of getting pregnant during that time? my period is irregular sometimes its 4 days earlier and sometimes 2 days late

Answers:
You should have taken Plan B after the unprotected sex. It is possible you may be pregnant now. Take a home test soon.

This depends on when you ovulate. Ovulating is when the egg drops into you uterus and is ready to be fertilised by the male sperm. Most women ovulate between the 11th and 14th day after the first day of there period. So that is like saying you started your period on the first, you would ovulate between the 12th and and 15th day after the 1st day that your period started. If you go between 28-30 days between each period, you should be fine if you have sex a week before your period, but it is still good to use protection just in case. A woman's body is not always predictable ;-)
