Girls Only! How Do I do this properly?

Question:
I want to shave well..down under if u know wat i mean. I am a 12 year old who is a little afraid to do this. I cant wax, because that would require asking my mother, which i refuse to do. I hear shaving only lasts a day but always leaves bumps or hairs still there poking out. Its not like anyone besides me is seeing it, i just dont want it, it bugs me!

Answers:
Shaving only lasts 2-3 days, but if you want to shave your pubic area do NOT use Nair...it is a blend of harsh chemicals and the LAST thing you want is chemical burn THERE.

Get a really sharp razor (I use Good News! by Gillette), and a thick foamy soap (I prefer Olay Body Wash for extra dry skin). Use water as warm as you can stand it, shave once with the hair growth, then once more against the hair growth. If you end up with bumps they only last a couple of days, but you might be able to avoid them by rubbing the area with an ice cube or using a product called Bikini Zone.

Alternately, you can simply try trimming the hair with a pair of sharp scissors and see if this doesn't help the irritation issue.
A 12 year old should not be doing that.
use Nair but be carefulUse only the bikini kind
Try shaving with baby oil instead of regular shaving cream... It's messy, but works very well. Also, like a girl above me said, Nair for your Bikini line is amazing, the problem is if you miss a spot or don't leave it on long enough the first time, you have to wait at least a day to try it again.
the bigger question is why at the age of 12 do you feel the need to shave them off , if you were older I would understand the why
DO NOT USE NAIR! This has chemicals and could burn your there really bad! Then it's going to be painful. It usually takes a couple of days before you can see hair again. The one thing you do want to remember is to use quite a bit of shaving cream. You don't want to get razor burn or anything like that there. Just as a little clue, it will itch really bad when it grows back for the first time. The second time it won't be as bad, and then it will begin to be even less, pretty soon it won't bother you at all.
OK HUN PLEASE DON,T SHAVE YOU,RE SELF BALD MAKE IT 1/2 INCH LONG
WHEN YOU GET TO THE LIP AREA THERE SHOULD BE A LITTLE HAIR ITS THERE TO KEEP YOU FROM GETTING INFECTIONS
IF YOU LEAVE SOME HAIR DOWN UNDER IT WONT ITCH AS BAD AND SWIM SUITS STILL LOOK GOOD ANYWAY IT WILL LOOK CLEAN AND PRETTY WITH NICE TRIM JOB
I USE MY HUSBANDS MUSTASH TRIMMER TO MANICURE MINE [ HE ASK ME WHAT THIS BENT HAIR WAS FROM AND I JUST LAUGHED AND LAUGH HE KNEW THEN WHERE HES TRIMMER HAS BEEN HA1HA1 HA1 YOU JUST DON,T WONT TO LOOK LIKE A NEW BRON DOWN UNDER
i'd not recomend waxing to someone so youn anyway, also the creams are not a good idea on young skin, if you leave just a little too long you can burn and that really hurts bad. if you really want to get rid of the hair use a good quality razor and womens shaving gel..you can also get a cream to use after shaving to prevent bups and ingrown hairs....
maybe you are bettr waiting until you are older though
ur too young!
ok well,
whatever you do the only real safe way, is waxing im sorry to say but, nair can cause serious irrataion and is not meant for down there! and shaving will only leave it itchy because of its to rough for down there. listen to someone w/ experiance, just wax, and wait till about 15.
At 12 you dont need to shave, just be a kid
