Taking birth control pills?
Question:

I think it's different for everyone. It takes me 3 or 4 placebo pills (so 3 or 4 days) before my period starts. And then it only lasts 3 days. Once you're on the pill for a few months, you'll know exactly which day you're gonna get your period. It's awesome to know! You can plan all your beach activities around that one week (or 3 days). Another thing the pill does is make your periods very light. Which is also cool!
Good luck
If you ever have any questions, you can also ask your pharmacist!
It'll be shorter like 3-4 days it should start after about the 2-3 inactive pill. And then fully stop when starting a new pack.
You will get your period some time while you are on the inactive pills. How soon on the inactive pills is hard to say but you will find out when you get on the inactive pills. You will NOT have your period for seven days of inactive pills. There is no way to know how long your period will last though as this is your first pack of pills.
Your period will probably be much more tolerable now that it was before, how much better varies from woman to woman.
Some women start their periods on the first inactive pill. I never did- I usually start on Wednesday and it lasts 5 days like it always had. So yes it's still going when I start the active pills again. It IS much lighter flow than before I was on the pill though.
my period doesn't start until the 4th day and ends on the second active pill. I have endometriosis and I am on seasonale(the best pill ever) and I am doing great.
I have been taking the pill for a year..once i start the inactive pills on Sun.. i get my period on wed morning...(all are diff) but you will get it a day or two maybe after you take the inactive pill. not sure on how long it will last since we are all different..but i would rather have a period for 5 days than to get prego when you arent ready :) so weigh the pros and cons if your period ends up being a little longer.. and once again..it all depends.. give it at least 3 months to make a choice if you are wanting to stop.
Good Luck
