yes. it is caused by the heat your natural body temp is 98.6 sitting in heat such as that will raise your body temp if it doesnt go back to normal after an hour of air conditioning you need to seek medical attention.
it sounds like you are getting dehydrated. drink tons of water and call a doctor about the fever. if you don't have health insurance go to a walk in clinic-they are usually under 100 dollars or have a sliding scale based on income.
