Pack a couple of pads and a mini container of tylenol (or whatever pain reliever you normally take) in your purse/backpack and keep them with you at all times. That way, when it starts, you'll be ready to "stay clean" and ward off any headaches or cramps that might happen. Usually the first period is pretty painless and light, but just be prepared anyway. You should really talk to your mom or another female you trust to find out more.
bring a pad wherever you go.
um. wear a pad?
try not to eat anything spicy or citrus, and if u cramp keep ur stomach warm.
start off by wearing pads, then work your way up to experimenting with tampons atleast a year later. Stay away from salty foods such as pickles, basically anything that will cause you to bloat more. Stay away from men, because theyll get on your nerves the most..they have no idea.lol oh yea also use a midol or tylenol menstrual relief..it will help the lower back pains and the headaches, and basically the whole works.
well if you get really bad cramps like me you should start to take midol(it really helps) the day that you are suppost to get your period, also if you start to get really bad cramps don't wear tampons that day and be a little active. don't start to use tampons for a few months, and bring pads wherever you go. and during your period weak wear dark jeans and stuff if you are worries about getting a stain
For the first 3 or 4 months (for some people even longer) it will be really irregular so always carry sanitary pads with you just in case.
If you get cramps I find the best thing to is lie in bed with your back flat with the electric blanket on.
Don't start out wearing tampons, your body may not be ready for them yet.But if you do, make sure you change them really regularly.
If your period is really bad or unmanagable then it's ok to go on the pill to make it more regular and comfortable.
wear a pad for your first period.
its easier.
and you may feel moody, and have cramps
that is a sign that it will come soon.
and when you get brownish discharge, that is
when you know it is going to come VERY soon.
if you have bad cramps , take midol
best of luck =]
get ready by wearing pads. i use always ultra thin, but everyone's flow is different. just make sure extra pads/tampons are easily accessible in a purse for when you feel you might need them. don't be surprised if you have cramps, headaches, backaches, mood swings, or/and a bad belly. as i said everyone's different and these symptoms are all possible
good luck, don't worry too much. every girl goes through this time
