Tampons and Monistat 1?
Question:
I used a dose of monistat 1 about 12 hours ago. I'm on my period and using pads just isn't working out for me. Do you think its ok to switch back to tampons after 12 hours, or should i wait longer?
Answers:
I think it should be fine. If you start to get to itchy I would stop.Try using a pad just for the evening to give a little break. You may need to do another monistat after your period because it may be getting washed out to fast.
DO NOT use the medication while you are on your menstrual.
Wait until it is over..
I would wait because I think the boxs tells you no tampons.
i dont think u were supposed to use it while on your period, it says more on the box. but if you are on your period i guess it doesnt matter now. you can use the tampon and just use the cream on the outter area. most likely the infection will still be there when your period is done. sorry i dont know much, but i do know i hate pads too. im going through the same thing except my period starts at the end of the week and i hope this infection is gone by then
if you have a yeast infection you should sterr clear of tampons until its cleared up
If you had read the instructions, use of tampons is NOT recommended because it will absorb the medication so it will NOT treat the infection properly. You will just have to suffer with pads until the infection is cleared up, or else retreat after your period is over.
You HAVE your period, you're not on it. No, you should not use the tampons. You need to give the monistat a chance to get rid of the yeast infection. It probably says it right on the instructions. I feel horrible using a pad, but if I have a yeast infection I use pads. It is not safe, or recommended to use tampons while you have one.
DO NOT USE TAMPONS! YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN PADS OUT OF SOFT COTTON FABRICS THEIR IS A WEB-SITE THAT
SALE MENSTRUAL PADS AND THEY HAVE A PATTERN YOU CAN LEARN AND MAKE YOU OWN PADS TO FIT. YOU ARE TO ALLOW YOUR MENSTRAL TO FLOW NORMALLY!
what ever, keep using the medication but don't use tampons
only use at night so the cream dosent come all out with your flow you may check with your ob-gyn after your cycle is over to get properly checked
wait longer
