I'm on the birth control pill and take them on time, but I spot days before and after my period. What gives?

Your hormones could be changing. Discuss this with your doctor because it may be best to switch your type of pill. It is normal to spot while on the pill, but spotting that much could mean that the pill is not working with your hormones anymore and while it will protect you against pregnancy-it will start messing with other factors in your life-such as emotions and cramps and your period.
