I read somewhere online that scientists think the cause of this condition is an excess amount of insulin, which helps change sugar and starch to energy
my question is...if I cut carbohydrates out of my diet completely will this inhibit my condition further, since no carbs means no insulin is being used up and therefore more insulin is in my system, or will it help?

Think of it more as insulin resistance. Your body isn't able handle the insulin it has, not simply that you have too much insulin. See the link below about insulin resistance. Cutting carbs may be helpful only if the goal is to reduce calories and lose weight. Diet with weight control and exercise are probably more helpful than a life without carbs.

Theoretically it would. Although this would only happen after a long time. And the problem here is, that insulin will still be formed while your body burns your fat. And if you go down this road, you will get no results, because you need carbohydrates to live. You would die before you could get rid of the cysts that have developed in your ovarise.
