How would taking only one week of birth control affect your period?
Question:
Answers:
Yes, taking bc pills can affect your cycle as you've obviously experienced first hand. Unfortunately, the withdrawal method doesn't work to prevent pregnancy.
I would suggest taking OTC pregnancy test or get some blood work done to be sure.
taking them for the week could mess up your period. it can take your body up to 3 months to regulate to the pill. taking the pill usually shortens your period (i sometimes have NONE at all, and completely normal). taking one week of pills would not have shortened your period that quick, like i said it can take up to 3 months to regulate. and as for the "pulling out" sex, that can GET YOU PREGNANT. if you are not going to continue taking pills i suggest you use condoms. pull out method is NOT A FORM OF BIRTH CONTROL. i would call your dr/nurse and ask what to do. but i do know that there was not enough birth control taken to have made it "safe" if you stopped for other reasons, talk to your dr there are many many pills to choose from and it took me almost a year and about 5 different ones to find the right one for me
pulling out does not mean you aren't pregnant. You very well could be. BC pills affect the hormones! So, it could cause problems. However, you should still be taking them if you don't use a condom or you'll deffinitely end up pregnant! Please be responsible!
